Alan R. Harrison is more than the owner of the firm that bears his name—he’s a visionary leader, trusted legal guide, and steadfast advocate for families across Idaho. Since founding Alan R. Harrison Law in 2007, Alan has built the firm with a focus on compassion, clarity, and thoughtful planning. He sets the vision for the practice and collaborates closely with his team to ensure that every client receives personalized, meaningful support during some of life’s most important transitions.
Alan began his legal career as a clerk for District Judge Darla Williamson in Ada County. He then spent over three and a half years at the Bonneville County Prosecutor’s Office, where he handled misdemeanor crimes, guardianship cases, and protection order matters. This broad courtroom experience laid the foundation for his future practice—especially in helping families navigate the legal system with care and confidence.
In addition to his legal expertise, Alan brings a background in civil engineering and a problem-solving mindset to his work. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Idaho and also holds certification in mediation, which informs his calm, solutions-focused approach with clients.
Known for his patience, listening skills, and quiet determination, Alan leads with both humility and heart. His work has been recognized by the community, including receiving the Post Register’s 2024 award for Best Law Firm—a reflection of the values and vision he’s instilled in the practice from the start.
Alan lives in Idaho Falls with his wife Camilla. Together, they have ten children ranging in age from 9 to 25 and have recently become grandparents. Outside of the office, Alan enjoys running and cheering on his kids at their sporting events. His favorite moments are often found on the sidelines—supporting, encouraging, and being fully present.
Originally from Meridian, Idaho, Alan came to Eastern Idaho for work and quickly discovered the deep sense of community and purpose that now defines his personal and professional life. He founded Alan R. Harrison Law out of a desire to help people navigate the legal system and prepare for the future with confidence. Today, he continues that mission daily—grateful for the team who shares his vision and the clients who place their trust in the firm.
