Holly Giglio is more than a Probate Specialist—she’s a detail-oriented problem solver, systems thinker, and dedicated advocate who ensures each probate case is handled with accuracy, efficiency, and care. Since joining Alan R. Harrison Law in 2023, Holly has supported clients through the probate process by drafting and filing court documents, coordinating with legal staff, and making sure every case moves forward smoothly and compassionately.
Holly’s path to probate work has been anything but conventional—and that’s part of what makes her so effective. She has held roles in information technology, stayed home to raise her children, served as a parent advocate, and worked to support families through complex systems like special education and healthcare. No matter the role, she’s always been drawn to rules, processes, and the steps needed to make change happen.
As the full-time caregiver for her adult son, who has Down syndrome and nonverbal autism, Holly understands firsthand the emotional and logistical demands families face. Her experiences navigating IEPs, healthcare systems, and public policy have sharpened her advocacy skills and deepened her understanding of the legal world. In 2021, she earned a certification in Special Education Advocacy from the William and Mary Law School—further cementing her dedication to helping others navigate the systems that so often feel overwhelming.
Originally from Edinburg, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley, Holly has lived across the country—from Michigan to Pennsylvania, Idaho to Alabama. While living in Idaho, she was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Idaho Council on Developmental Disabilities, giving her a front-row seat to how government systems operate. She’s also co-founded parent groups, contributed to nonprofit boards, and volunteered with organizations like Champs Heart, Camp Hayden, and the Miracle League of Shelby County.
She holds an Associate of Arts in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Dallas but says her most impactful education has come through parenting, advocating, and showing up for others.
Holly currently lives in Helena, Alabama with her son, and is mom to two amazing adult children. When she’s not working, you can find her relaxing on a porch swing with a good book and sweet tea, getting lost in a true crime podcast, puzzling at her kitchen table, or crafting stained glass. She finds peace in small joys—and the occasional spa day doesn’t hurt either.
Holly first connected with the firm when Alan reached out to a parent group she helped organize to share information on Special Needs Trusts. That outreach left a lasting impression, and when a job opportunity opened, she was eager to join the team. She continues to enjoy the learning that comes with each case and the chance to support families navigating complex legal territory with patience and purpose.
